World remembrance for Traffic Victims-Kenya

The Foundations & Ministry of Transport, National Transport Authority A held a commemoration to remember brothers and sisters who lost their lives on road accident as a road safety campaign at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) http://worlddayofremembrance.org/ .

 

It aimed at increasing the public awareness of the citizens on road and driving safety issues. The campaign targeted many stakeholders along with their employees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEF42CIGnl4

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims held on the third Sunday of November each year.The UN General Assembly adopted resolution A/60/5 on 26 October 2005, welcoming the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and inviting ‘Member States and the international community to recognize this day’.

Since then, the observance of the World Day has increased year by year on every continent.
